Mark Silvanovich, P.Eng., is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operational excellence and management within the nutrient recovery technology sector. Currently serving as the Director of Operational Excellence at Ostara Nutrient Recovery Technologies since January 2011, Mark has led significant initiatives, including the implementation of an ERP system and the deployment of a standardized continuous improvement system. Previously, as Municipal Operations Manager, Mark oversaw the operations of multiple fertilizer production plants and successfully managed performance testing at a major facility. With experience as a Sales Engineer and in inventory management, combined with a solid educational foundation that includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia and business process management training from UBC Sauder School of Business, Mark brings a diverse skill set to fostering operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
