John Noon

John Noon is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in power electronics and system development. Currently serving as the Chair of the Connecticut Chapter of the IEEE Power Electronics Society since July 2023, John leads initiatives to enhance community engagement through technical and social events. As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Otis Elevator Co., John's expertise is further complemented by previous roles at Moog Inc. and the Center for Power Electronics Systems, where significant contributions included the development of a Power Hardware-in-the-Loop system for aerospace applications. With a strong educational foundation from Virginia Tech, where John earned both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, John has also demonstrated a commitment to mentoring and teaching during a tenure as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
