Mark Spatny

Mark Spatny serves as the VFX / VAD Supervisor at OTOY, where responsibilities include overseeing the creation of CG assets for STAR TREK in various formats for virtual production and VR exploration. Previously, Spatny worked as the Visual Effects Supervisor and Producer for Amazon Studios on 'THE PERIPHERAL', delivering 2,500 shots and building a robust in-house VFX team. With experience as an instructor at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Spatny has also held positions at CoSA VFX and Encore Hollywood, focusing on VFX supervision and project management across multiple projects. Spatny's background includes a significant tenure at Stargate Studios as VP Digital Effects and various roles that contribute to over three decades of experience in visual effects for film and television, accompanied by a BFA in Set and Lighting Design from the University of Southern California.
