Eric Mathews

Eric Mathews has a wealth of experience in the business world. Eric began their career in 2006 as the Managing Partner of Mercury Technology Labs. In 2007, they began various for-profit business activities. In 2008, they founded and became President of LaunchMemphis, a program that supports entrepreneurial action in Memphis. This program is now run under the Start Co. venture development organization, where Eric has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2008. In 2012, they became Interim Executive Director of EmergeMemphis, providing strategic management and leadership for incubator operations and incubator client growth. In 2015, Eric joined the Board of Directors for both Global Accelerator Network and CodeCrew. The Global Accelerator Network is an invite-only community of the world's most respected organizations that provide startups with the best resources to create and grow their businesses. In 2016, Eric became an Adjunct Faculty at Rhodes College and a Director of the Board of Directors for otto. In 2017, they joined the LaunchTN Impact Fund Investment Committee.

Eric Mathews completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Rhodes College in 2002. Eric then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Cognitive Psychology and Psycholinguistics from The University of Memphis in 2005. Most recently, they earned a Certificate of Business Excellence in Business Administration and Management, General from Vanderbilt University in 2018.
