David Rass

David Rass is a Research Engineer at Ottobock, specializing in the mechanical design and prototyping of prostheses and orthoses since August 2021. Prior experience includes a Master's Candidate role at Ottobock, where further development of a microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knee joint was undertaken, resulting in a functional prototype. David's background also encompasses multiple roles as a research assistant at Technische Universität München, focusing on mechatronics and lightweight design in humanoid robotics and prosthetics. Previous positions include internships at Brainlab and Infineon Technologies, alongside service as a Pioneer in the Austrian Armed Forces. David holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, and a Matura in Biomedical Engineering.
