OTverse is building affordable VR surgical simulation for medical students and junior doctors — the Duolingo of Surgical Skills.

Medical students get almost zero hands-on surgical practice before touching real patients.

Existing VR simulators cost £50K-200K+ and are locked behind hospital procurement. We
analysed 26 competitors globally and found a clear gap: not one serves individual students
at an affordable price.

We’re changing that with immersive surgical training on standalone Meta Quest headsets.

Our first module — suturing and wound closure — features a full VR surgical room, realistic
instruments, guided stitch points, and real-time scoring. Built in Unity, designed for learners.
Based in Glasgow. Part of the Techscaler Catalyst cohort. Currently building our MVP.

Future roadmap: AI-powered scenario generation, multiple surgical procedures, and
expansion into India’s 80,000+ annual medical graduates.
