John T. Sorrell

John T. Sorrell, PhD, is a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in clinical settings, currently serving as a Licensed Psychologist at San Mateo Medical Center and Clinical Psychologist at Camden Center since April 2020 and April 2022, respectively. Sorrell is the Founder and Director of the Chronic Pain Psychology Center since August 2014 and also works as a Clinical Advisor and Content Creator at Cass, alongside being the Cofounder & Chief Clinical Operator at Nustrt since July 2020. Previously held roles include Clinical Director at Upside Health from April 2019 to June 2023, Pain Psychologist at the Veterans Administration from August 2018 to July 2019, and Psychologist at Behavioral Health Psychology Services from May 2006 to August 2018. Sorrell earned a BA, MA, and PhD in Psychology from West Virginia University between 1993 and 2002, following a high school diploma from Winston Churchill High School.
