Out on the Shelf is Guelph & Wellington County's 2SLGBTQIA+ Library & Resource Centre. OOTS is the parent organization of Guelph Pride, provides peer-led programming, events, educational workshops & resources, practical supports, and a safer space for community. Check out our linktree and website for more of what OOTS is offering the community!

Out on the Shelf is primarily led by a dedicated group of volunteers and working board. In October 2024, Out on the Shelf was able to hire paid staff for the first time in the organization's history for the Transcendence Project (funded by the WAGE department of Canada).

Since then, Out on the Shelf has been able to hire staff to support multiple short-term programs, primarily hiring 2SLGBTQIA+ youth to support their professional development and learning opportunities. OOTS and Guelph Pride continues to highlight and support local artists and performers with honorariums for their incredible work.

We are extremely grateful to our donors, sponsors, and community partnerships (learn more about these on our website). A colossal thank you to United Way, which has committed to supporting Out on the Shelf with an operating grant from 2026-2028. We are constantly looking for partnerships and grant opportunities to better serve our community. Reach out through the Contact Us page on our website if you are open to collaborating!
