Stan Kimer

Stan Kimer is an advisor at OutBüro and the founder of Total Engagement Consulting by Kimer. Stan has over 30 years of experience in the corporate world, specializing in diversity and inclusion.

Stan has held various board and committee positions throughout their career. Stan was a member of TODN (Triangle Organizational and Dev Network) and TSHRM (Triangle Society for Human Resource Management) from 2010 to 2013. Stan served as Diversity Consultant and Treasurer for RWHRMA (Raleigh Wake Human Resource Management Association) from 2009 to 2011. Stan was also a member of RBPN (Raleigh Business and Professional Network) from 2006 to 2012, and HRC (Human Rights Campaign) NC Steering Committee from 2002 to 2008.

In 1998, Stan began working as Corporate Diversity Manager for GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender) Diversity at IBM. Stan held this position for four years before being promoted to Director of Sales Operations for Global Business Services. Stan remained in this role until their retirement from IBM in 2009.

Since retiring from IBM, Stan has devoted their time to consulting and advising businesses on diversity and inclusion. In 2018, they founded Total Engagement Consulting by Kimer, which provides organizations with the tools and resources they need to create a more inclusive environment for all employees.

Stan Kimer has a BS from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Management Science and an MBA from the University of Chicago in Finance and Accounting. Stan also attended Millbrook High School.
