Lori Goff

Founder and CEO at Outlander Materials

Lori Goff has a diverse work experience. Lori is currently the Founder and CEO of Outlander Materials, a position they have held since August 2018. Prior to that, they were a member of the Firmhouse Venture Lab Incubator from November 2018 to March 2019. From November 2017 to June 2018, Lori worked as a Developer for Healthy Food Systems and Blue Nutrient Upcycling at World of Walas, where they focused on creating sustainable and healthy food models. Lori was also a participant in the ReNew 2020 project from January 2017 to October 2017, where they collaborated on upcycling projects and developed their own project aimed at utilizing waste streams from the food production industry. In the earlier years of their career, Lori worked as a Scientific Consultant at VanBlankenstyne Zeep, a Research Intern at Omaha Biofuels Coop, and a Nature Specialist at Hummel Park Day Camp. Lori also served as a Peer Advisor at the University of Nebraska - Omaha Study Abroad Department from 2013 to 2015.

Lori Goff began their education in 2005 at Metropolitan Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Photography, which they completed in 2008. Later, from 2010 to 2015, they attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) with a focus on Biotechnology. During their time at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Lori also took part in two exchange programs. In 2012 to 2013, they studied Russian Language and Biotechnology at Latvijas Universitate, and in 2013, they participated in an exchange semester at the University of Groningen, focusing on Dutch Culture & Spatial Sciences.
