Eric Soller

Eric Soller has a diverse work experience in the biotech industry. Eric is currently serving as the Chief Business Officer at Outpace Bio since May 2022. Prior to this, they founded and served as the Principal of Soller BioConsulting, LLC starting in July 2021. Their role involved partnering with founders, investors, and leadership teams to build and scale biotech companies focused on innovative platform technologies and advanced therapies.

From December 2016 to July 2021, Eric served as a co-founder and Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy at BlueRock Therapeutics. During their time at BlueRock, they played a key role in company formation, acquisition by Bayer, and the development of an industry-leading engineered cell therapy platform. Eric also held a position as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Versant Ventures, contributing to the BlueRock founding team.

Eric started their career at McKinsey & Company, where they served as an Associate Principal from July 2011 to July 2016. Eric also had a brief period of self-employment as a Consultant from September 2005 to September 2007. Additionally, Eric has experience as a Biomedical Engineering Fellow at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where they designed and implemented a non-contact Infrared Temperature Monitoring system for laser tissue soldering.

Later, they pursued further studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and obtained a Master of Science (S.M.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed from 2003 to 2005. Eric continued their education at MIT and received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in both Mechanical Engineering and Biological Engineering, which they completed from 2006 to 2011.
