Peter Nerg has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Their most recent role is as a Principal Software Architect at Outpost24 since February 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Sownder AB starting in February 2022. From August 2017 to January 2023, Peter worked as a Senior System Architect at Qvantel.

Peter also has a long history with Ericsson, where they held various positions. Peter worked as a Principal Software Architect from April 2006 to July 2017. Before that, they were a System Developer and played a significant role in the development of the Ericsson Mobile Positioning System (MPS). Peter led the implementation of the new MPS GUI and was responsible for the implementation and development of the Oracle database used by the MPS. Peter's tenure at Ericsson began as a System Developer working on the MD110 Private Branch eXchange (PBX). During this time, they also led a design team.

Other notable roles in Peter's career include being an Internal Auditor at Friluftsförskolan Nänet from April 2013 to May 2016 and serving as the Chairman of the Board at Friluftsförskolan Nänet from April 2010 to April 2012. Peter also worked as a System Developer at Wireless Maingate AB from May 2001 to 2002, and as a Software Developer at moveAround from May 2000 to 2001.

Before entering the industry, Peter briefly worked as a Lecturer at Blekinge Institute of Technology from July 1998 to September 1998.

Peter Nerg completed their education at Blekinge Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1998, where they pursued a field of study in Computer Engineering. Additionally, in November 2013, they obtained a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera.
