Ali Shaheem

Ali Shaheem has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in cost control and purchasing roles. Currently serving as Cost Controller at Outrigger Hotels & Resorts since May 2016, Ali oversees receiving and the tuck shop. Previous positions include Assistant Cost Controller/Store Keeper at The Residence Maldives, where responsibilities included managing main stores, conducting stock checks, and assisting with market surveys. Ali's earlier roles include Purchasing Coordinator at Zitahli Resorts & Spa, where Ali handled procurement of operating supplies, and as Assistant Night Auditor at Coco Palm Boduhithi, focusing on revenue audits. Ali began a career in accounting as a Senior Accounts Assistant at Villa Shipping & Trading Co Pvt Ltd and as an Assistant Accountant at the Maldives National Chamber of Commerce. Educational qualifications include a CIMA managerial level degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Villa College and a high school diploma in Business from the Centre for Higher Education Centre, Maldives.
