Andy Chiu

Andy Chiu serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Head of Engineering at Outschool since August 2025. Prior to this role, Andy held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Instacart, where responsibilities included leading the entire Ads Engineering organization and driving technical and business innovations. Andy's tenure at Google, from May 2015 to August 2023, involved significant contributions as Senior Director of Software Engineering for Google for Education and Google Classroom, as well as leadership in audience targeting and ads personalization across multiple platforms, including YouTube. Earlier experience includes a role as Software Developer at Bulloch Technologies. Andy Chiu holds both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.
