Adam Roy

Adam Roy is an accomplished editor with extensive experience in the outdoor and travel publishing industry, currently serving as the Editor in Chief of Backpacker since August 2017, where oversight includes editorial, social media, newsletters, and special projects. Prior roles at Backpacker include Executive Editor and Senior Digital Editor, focusing on digital content and strategy. Adam's career also includes digital roles at Active Interest Media and web editor positions at Phoenix New Times and Westword. Earlier experience comprises work as an Associate Online Editor and Assistant Online Editor at Outside Magazine, with contributions as a freelance rock climbing blogger. Adam holds a B.A. in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Tufts University.
