Mark Armstrong is a creative strategist, producer, and writer. They co-founded Ursa Story Company, which produces podcasts and videos that celebrate storytelling, particularly spotlighting underrepresented voices. Mark founded Longreads, an award-winning site recognized for its in-depth essays and journalism, and served as editor of Nieman Storyboard at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard. Mark has held various leadership roles, including head of communications at Automattic and editorial director at Pocket, and has contributed to prominent publications such as The New York Times and Vanity Fair. Currently, Mark serves on the Board of Directors for the W. Ray Johnson Foundation and continues their education at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
