John Hoffoss

John Hoffoss is an accomplished information security leader with extensive experience in building and managing security programs across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Information Security & Privacy at Ovative Group, John is responsible for developing a comprehensive infosec strategy aligned with business objectives. Previously, John held the position of Director of Information Security & Risk Advisory Services at CLA, where strategic advisory and fractional CISO roles were undertaken for diverse clients. Notable past roles include experience as a Security Product/Marketing Manager at Irdeto and Senior Information Security Specialist for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, where John contributed to statewide security strategy and risk management practices. John also has a background in academia, serving as a Community Faculty member and Adjunct Instructor in information security courses. A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, John has a proven track record of enhancing security and risk management programs across various sectors.
