Amy James is a Learning Acceleration Specialist at the Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative, where responsibilities include facilitating networks to enhance understanding of intervention and acceleration efforts in response to the learning disruptions of 2020. Previously, Amy served as a Consultant for the Southern Regional Education Board, focusing on curriculum development and teacher training in disciplinary literacy, and held the position of Educational Recovery Leader at the Kentucky Department of Education from January 2018 to June 2022. Additionally, Amy worked as a Science Teacher at South Oldham High School from 2005 to 2017. Amy holds an Educational Specialist degree in School Leadership from Bellarmine University and a Master of Arts in Teaching with Rank 1 Certification in Secondary Science from the University of Louisville.
