Sunaina Basu started their work experience in 2013 as an intern at Overdrive Interactive. Sunaina then worked as a Marketing Manager at Tufts Student Resources from 2013 to 2014. Sunaina also had multiple roles at Tufts University, including History Department Office Assistant and Research Assistant. In 2014, Sunaina interned as a Marketing and Customer Development Intern at Unilever. From 2014 to 2017, they co-founded and contributed to a digital magazine called Zoetic Blog. In 2015, Sunaina started their own personal food blog called Beetown Bites, where they generated a following and featured restaurant visits and personal recipes. From 2014 to present, they worked at Overdrive Interactive as a Paid Search Associate and later became a Paid Search Marketing Specialist. Sunaina also worked as a Marketing Consultant at ShopHop India from 2017 to 2017. In 2018, they co-founded Rafiki Marketing and became a Co-Founder. Sunaina also served as a Visiting Lecturer at IIDE - Indian Institute of Digital Education from 2018 to 2020.
Sunaina Basu attended Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai from 1997 to 2010. Sunaina then went on to study at Tufts University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology, Economics, and Communication & Media Studies. In 2021, Sunaina participated in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women program at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, focusing on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial studies. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Google AdWords Fundamentals and Google Search Advertising in March 2017 from Google.
