Malcolm O'Brien

Malcolm O'Brien is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in library management and sales. Currently serving as Regional Manager and Country Manager for OverDrive in Australia and New Zealand since August 2020, O'Brien previously held the position of Territory Account Manager at Wavesound, where management of public libraries in New South Wales, Queensland, and the Northern Territory was a key responsibility from 2014 to August 2020. Prior to that, O'Brien worked as Territory Account Manager at James Bennett (a Baker & Taylor company) from 2005 to 2013, focusing on libraries in New South Wales and Queensland. O'Brien's career began as Director of Sales and Marketing at New World Music from 2000 to 2005, overseeing sales growth and marketing initiatives. Educational qualifications include completion of an HSC in Agriculture and General from Farrer High School, Tamworth, from 1972 to 1976, along with studies at UNSW.
