John Shupe

John Shupe is an experienced executive currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Overlay Aerials since November 2022. Previously, Shupe was a Managing Partner at MDCP Fund, LLC from April 2020 to January 2024, and held the position of Director of Strategic Partnerships at Supported Intelligence, LLC from March 2022 to January 2023, where efforts focused on decision intelligence for the NCAA March Madness Tournament. Shupe has an extensive background in the financial sector, having served as Managing Director at Curex Group LLC, overseeing benchmarks, data integrity, and quantitative research from 2010 to 2020. Earlier roles include Director of Algorithmic Trading at Curex, Director of LavaFX at Citigroup, Portfolio Manager for a Model Driven Currency Program, and Vice President positions at RBC Capital Markets and Royal Bank of Canada, where key responsibilities included managing trading teams and developing risk management processes. Shupe began a career in finance at the Bank of Montreal as an FX Trader and holds degrees from Dalhousie University and Pace University.
