Editor In Chief at Overtime

Sam Gordon is the current Editor In Chief at Overtime. Prior to Overtime, Sam worked as a Summer Research Analyst for Investment Technology Group from June 2015 to August 2015. In this role, Sam evaluated the accuracy of a proprietary cost model for small cap stock orders by comparing realized transaction costs against expected costs. Sam also generated charts and wrote SQL scripts to address client inquiries about their trade execution. At the conclusion of the internship, Sam won a scholarship awarded to the top performing intern and received a full time job offer.

Prior to working at Investment Technology Group, Sam interned at The Asia Society from June 2014 to August 2014 where they compiled website traffic data and matched it with financial data. Sam also developed metrics to measure program success, created graphs and charts, and presented findings.

In addition to their professional experience, Sam was a team member of the Johns Hopkins University Varsity Basketball team from October 2013 to February 2017. Sam was also the Head NBA Writer at The Sports Quotient from April 2013 to August 2017. Lastly, Sam served as an Executive Board Member and Securities Analyst at Marshal L. Salant Investment Team from March 2014 to May 2016.

Sam Gordon's educational career began with a high school diploma from Hunter College High School. Sam then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University. Finally, they earned a Master's degree in Finance from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School.
