Peter Sharar

Peter Sharar is an experienced security engineer currently working at OVHcloud in US operations since March 2021. Prior to this role, Peter served as a Senior Security Engineer at the Allied Special Operations Group (ASOG) from November 2018 to March 2021, where responsibilities included managing a team that built SOC and SIEM environments, leading penetration testing, and conducting threat hunting. Peter also worked as a Systems Security Consultant for ASOG, focusing on zero trust network security and secure operating systems. Earlier professional experience includes serving as an Information Security Engineer at JS2 Application Development LLC and participating in various roles at Cyber Defense Labs, where foundational projects in cyber security education and practical lab environments were developed. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts and Applied Science in Cyber Security from the University of North Texas and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Cyber Security from North Central Texas College.
