Xavier Nicolle has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Xavier is currently working at OVHcloud as the Head of Public Cloud Infrastructure since May 2022. Previously, they served as the Operation Director for Public Cloud Infrastructure from March 2020 to June 2022, and as the SRE Manager for Canada from October 2019 to March 2020. Xavier also had a role as the SRE OpenStack from May 2019 to October 2019 at OVHcloud.
Before joining OVHcloud, Xavier Nicolle founded gNetLabs, Inc. in 2011 and served as the CEO and Co-founder. Xavier successfully developed a fully managed cloud infrastructure in their own datacenter, catering to banks and tech industry leaders. Xavier also managed the development of a social network for the LGBT community, leading a team of software engineers. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of Infrastructure at gNetLabs, where they developed their private cloud solution based on OpenStack and CEPH Storage.
Xavier Nicolle co-founded W | Bear in 2016, a social network aimed at the LGBT community, specifically the Gay Bear subculture. Xavier served as the Co-founder of the company.
Xavier'swork experience also includes a role as the CTO at Virgin Mobile France - Omer Telecom, where they were responsible for managing the infrastructures and providing support for applications and incidents. Xavier managed a team of engineers and had an annual budget of seven million dollars. Before that, they worked as a Consultant at XM Distribution, where they created and developed an online shop, and as the Owner and Production Director at NGS Productions in the entertainment industry. Xavier also served as the Datacenter Operations Manager at Energis / Ision Internet, where they designed, built, and operated data centers across France. Lastly, they worked as a System and Network Administrator at Pandemonium.

Xavier Nicolle earned a French high-school diploma in science from lycée Freppel Obernai in 1996. Xavier then attended the University of Strasbourg from 1996 to 1998, obtaining a 2-year university degree in computer science. Xavier continued their education at the University of Strasbourg from 1998 to 2001, earning a Master's Degree in Telecommunication & Networks with a specialization in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. Apart from their formal education, Xavier also has a certification from Code School in ES2015: The Shape of JavaScript to Come.
