Luis Herrera

Luis Herrera is an experienced EI&C Engineer at Ovintiv, specializing in the planning, design, and construction of oil well pads, water disposal wells, and pump stations since September 2019. Prior to this role, Luis worked at GROB Systems, Inc. as a Control Systems Engineer, ensuring machine programming and safety from May 2017 to August 2019. Earlier experience includes serving as a Control Systems Engineer at Hi-Def Controls Ltd., focusing on crude oil pipelines and pumping stations, and as a Controls Systems Specialist at CH2M HILL, where responsibilities included control panel design and PLC/HMI program development for water treatment facilities. Luis began a career as an IT Technician at Western Forest Products, providing tech support and developing deployment scripts. Luis holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Victoria and a diploma in Engineering Technology, Automated Systems from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
