Tyson Pylypiw

Tyson Pylypiw is a seasoned professional in Indigenous and community relations, currently serving as the Manager of Indigenous Relations for North America at Ovintiv since June 2020. In addition, Tyson is the Co-Founder of NextGen Ventures, an Indigenous-owned business specializing in integrated project management for oil and gas asset retirement. Prior to these roles, Tyson held various managerial positions at Encana Corporation from March 2004 to June 2020, overseeing projects in the Duvernay and Montney regions and leading multi-disciplinary teams in road and lease construction and community relations. Tyson's career began in construction with roles at AEC and Kledo Construction, where responsibilities included managing earthworks projects and supervisory duties. Tyson's educational background includes executive education from the University of Calgary and training at Grande Prairie Regional College.
