Jim Manico

Jim Manico is a seasoned cybersecurity professional and entrepreneur with extensive experience in application security and strategic advisory roles. Currently serving as a Strategic Technical Advisor for both Edgescan and Akto.io, Jim aligns security initiatives with emerging threats and guides API security technology vision. As the Founder and CEO of Manicode Security, Jim focuses on educating developers in secure coding practices. With active involvement in OWASP since 2008, including leadership roles in various security standards projects, Jim contributes significantly to the field. Additionally, Jim holds board and advisory positions with organizations such as DefectDojo, Nucleus Security, and RAD Security, and has made investments in multiple security-focused companies. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Siena College, complemented by specialized training in security.
