Steve Springett

Steve Springett is a seasoned professional in product security and software engineering, currently serving as Director of Product Security at ServiceNow since August 2018, where prior roles included Senior Manager and Senior Security Architect. Springett is also active as Chair of the Ecma Technical Committee 54 and as an advisor to StackAware. Notably, in the OWASP community, Springett holds the position of Chair for the CycloneDX Core Working Group and is a Member at Large on the Global Board of Directors, leading significant projects such as Dependency-Track and the Software Component Verification Standard (SCVS). Additional experience includes roles as Vice President of Secure Software Engineering at MUFG and Principal Application Security Architect at Axway, where Springett contributed to the creation of the Secure SDLC process. Previous positions also encompass leadership in technology and engineering at New Dimension Media and web development at NetLojix Communications. Springett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix.
