Alan Smith

Alan Smith is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Director of Major Projects at OWC since October 2021. Prior to this role, Smith held the position of Head of Department for Renewable Projects at DNV, overseeing a multi-disciplined team focused on onshore wind technical services across multiple regions, including the UK and Africa. Smith's extensive background includes leadership roles at DNV GL in onshore projects and managing various renewable energy initiatives such as tidal turbines and wind farms. Educationally, Smith holds a BEng Hons in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol, obtained in 1996.
