Johan Coronado has a strong background in geotechnical engineering. Johan worked at OWC from 2018 to present, starting as a Geotechnical Engineer and progressing to Senior Geotechnical Engineer, London Geotechnical Lead, and currently serving as the Head of Geotechnical Engineering. Prior to that, they worked at the University of Brighton as a Visiting Lecturer, teaching construction materials and structures and stress analysis. Johan also has experience as a Geotechnical Engineer at AMUNDARAY INGENIERIA GEOTECNICA, where they focused on geotechnical investigations, project management, site characterization, and foundation analysis.
Johan Coronado pursued their education in the field of Civil Engineering. Johan completed their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello from 2007 to 2012. Following that, they enrolled at the University of Brighton to further their studies. Johan obtained a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution in 2015. Subsequently, Johan continued their educational journey at the University of Brighton, where they successfully earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering in 2019.
