Tim Root

Tim Root is an experienced executive currently serving as an Executive at Owl Labs since April 2024. Previously, Tim held the position of GM/VP of the Products & Peripherals Group at Dell Technologies from November 2021 to August 2023, overseeing strategy and business for gaming, keyboards, mice, and collaboration peripherals. Tim's experience includes roles as VP of Strategy at Nureva Inc. and CEO of Chester Technologies, a management consulting firm focusing on the AV/UC and robotics industries. Other notable positions include VP and GM of Room Collaboration Business at Poly, where record revenues were delivered, and VP of Product Management at Polycom. Tim is a co-founder of Vgo Communications, which pioneered robotic telepresence solutions, and has also served as a guest lecturer at Northeastern University's Gordon School of Leadership. Academic credentials include an MS in Engineering and Management from MIT, an MSEE in DSP and Video from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a BSEE in Computers from Northeastern University.
