Lloyd Armbrust is the founder and CEO of OwnLocal. Lloyd has a long history of working in the media industry, starting with their time as managing editor of the Panther Press at York College. There, they rebranded the print newspaper and built a website with a revenue and SEO plan to support it. Lloyd also worked with other area newspapers to syndicate content.

After their time at York College, Armbrust became the assistant editor of the York News-Times Newspaper. Lloyd then became the online advertising director, a position they held for two years before moving on to Texas A&M University System.

At TAMU, Armbrust rebuilt the website to be W3C-compliant and SEO optimized. Lloyd also worked on brand development, video integration, website UI, and audience growth. In addition, they worked with local and national newspapers, TV stations, magazines, and radio stations to provide branded promotional content.

Armbrust’s experience in the media industry has allowed him to build OwnLocal into a successful company.

Lloyd Armbrust's educational career began in winter 2010 when they attended the startup accelerator program, Y Combinator. Lloyd then went on to earn their BA in English from York College.

Some individuals on their team include Kumi Morales - Head of Sales, Landon Morales - Chief Revenue Officer, and Jorge González - Director, R&D.
