Boaz Barzel has a diverse work experience spanning over different roles and industries. Starting in 2002, they served as a Combat Officer in Battalion 50 of the IDF's Nachal Brigade until 2006. In 2011, they joined Check Point Software Technologies as a QA Engineer, responsible for testing SMB and Threat Prevention products. Boaz worked closely with development, wrote tests, and performed EA installations with clients. From 2014 to 2016, Boaz became a QA Team Manager, overseeing a team of software QA's and automation developers while managing security updates and optimizing tests.
At Check Point, Boaz also transitioned into the role of Threat Prevention Solutions Expert (2016-2020), where they provided training and enablement to sales, technical sales, partners, and customers. Boaz worked closely with R&D and product management on existing and new capabilities and solutions. Boaz later became an Advanced Threats Solutions Expert (2019-2020) and Cyber Security Products Expert/Architect (2020-2021), focusing on project management, market analysis, and designing cyber security strategies. Boaz developed sales playbooks and provided training to sales and technical teams.
In 2021, Boaz moved to Cato Networks as the Sales Enablement Lead, where they built the Sales Enablement function from scratch and drove revenue growth. Boaz'smission was to provide the sales organization and Cato with the information, content, and tools needed for more effective engagement with buyers. Boaz later became the Sales Enablement Team Leader in early 2023 before transitioning to their current role as the Director of Sales and Technical Enablement at OX Security starting in April 2023.
Boaz Barzel completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in East Asian Studies from Tel Aviv University from 2009 to 2012. During the same time period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the same university. In terms of additional certifications, Boaz obtained various certifications from institutions such as LinkedIn and Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. These certifications include "How to Speak So People Want to Listen" from LinkedIn in March 2022, "How to Handle Poor Performers" from LinkedIn in September 2021, "DemoPoint Superstar 2021" from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. in February 2021, "Stay Home Stay Secured" from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. in March 2020, "SandBlast Agent Accredited Administrator" from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. in July 2017, "SandBlast Accredited Administrator" from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. in November 2016, "MEDDPICC Masterclass" from MEDDICC in May 2022, and "CPSC - Advanced Threats Sales Certification" from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. in September 2019.
