Alex Stewart is a distinguished engineer at Oxa, where responsibilities have included roles as Systems Architect and Principal Engineer since November 2014. Prior experience includes serving as a PhD student at Mobile Robotics Group from 2010 to October 2014 and as a Senior Scientist at BAE Systems from 2008 to 2010, focusing on Information Networking and Autonomy at the Advanced Technology Centre. Academic achievements include a DPhil in Engineering Science (Robotics) from the University of Oxford, a Master of Science in Engineering (Robotics) from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UCL. Notably, involvement in robotics competitions includes participation in the University of Pennsylvania’s DARPA Urban Challenge Team and Caltech’s DARPA Grand Challenge 2005 Team.
