Bryn Balcombe

Bryn Balcombe is an established expert in autonomy systems and regulation, currently serving as the Autonomy Systems & Regulation Expert at Oxa since February 2022. In addition, Bryn chairs the ITU Focus Group on AI for Autonomous and Assisted Driving, addressing AI behavior evaluation essential for the safety performance of automated vehicles. As the founder of the non-profit organization ADA.ngo, Bryn advocates for the responsible development and adoption of human-centric artificial intelligence. Previous roles include Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Roborace, participation in the Global Future Council on Computing at the World Economic Forum, and various technology leadership positions across the automotive sector, including Formula One Management Limited. Bryn holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with Vehicle Design from the University of Hertfordshire.
