William Perren

William Perren is a Senior Automated Vehicle Regulation Engineer at Oxa and previously worked as a Senior Safety and Risk Consultant at TRL, where they led safety assurance efforts for Connected and Automated Vehicles. With prior experience at Barclays and Functional Safety Engineering Services, William developed strong customer service and technical consultancy skills. They hold a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Surrey, where they graduated with honors. Their current research supports the Department for Transport in developing an approval scheme for automated vehicles, focusing on in-use monitoring and reporting.
