Robert Catherall

Rob Catherall is a highly experienced professional in the transportation and infrastructure sectors, currently serving as Principal and Head of Rail and Bus at Oxera Consulting LLP since September 2022. Previously, Rob held multiple senior roles at the Department for Transport (DfT) in the United Kingdom, including Deputy Director positions leading teams responsible for local infrastructure strategy, COVID-19 responses for transport services, and rail franchising reform. With a robust background in economic analysis and policy development across various government departments, Rob has successfully managed significant funding portfolios and spearheaded innovative transportation projects. Rob holds a Master of Science in Economics from UCL and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Leeds.
