Hector Zenil has a diverse education history in the field of mathematics and computer science. In 1997, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Hector then attended Brown University in 2005 to pursue a Wolfram Science School program, focusing on Computational Sciences. That same year, they also attended École normale supérieure and completed a Master's degree in Logic (LoPHISS). From 2006 to 2011, Zenil studied at the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, where they earned a PhD in Theoretical Computer Science. Continuing their academic pursuits, Zenil joined Université Paris-Sorbonne in 2008 and received a Doctor of Philosophy and Epistemology (PhD) in Logic, completing their studies in 2015.
