Vice President, R&D at OxiCool

Jonathan Kaufman has a long and varied work experience. jonathan began their career in 1983 as a Senior Research Physiologist at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). In 1996, they became an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, and in 1997, they became an Adjunct Professor at the Florida Institute of Technology. In 2005, they began working at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, where they held various roles including Branch Chief, Deputy Division Chief, Senior S&T Manager, Deputy, Capability Area Program Officer, and Thrust Area Manager. In 2005, they also began working at OxiCool, Inc. as Vice President of R&D, and at North Carolina State University as an Adjunct Associate Professor. In 2014, they started their own company, Kaufman Technical Perspectives LLC, as a Consultant, and in 2015, they became a Subject Matter Expert at JRAD.

Jonathan Kaufman attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2011 as a Fellow in the Seminar XXI (advanced national security policy program). jonathan then obtained a DAWIA level 3 certification in SPRDE from Defense Acquisition University. jonathan went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University, and a B.Ch.E. in Chemical Engineering from Cleveland State University.
