Bryan Cantrill

Chief Technology Officer at Oxide Computer Company

Bryan Cantrill is an experienced technologist who held various leadership roles in several notable companies. Bryan'scareer began in 1994 when they worked in research and development at QNX Software Systems, where they developed an SMP prototype of QNX 4.1. In 1996, they joined Sun Microsystems as a Distinguished Engineer. In 2010, they joined Joyent as the Chief Technology Officer and later became the Senior Vice President of Engineering, where they oversaw the development of Joyent's SmartOS and node.js projects and Joyent's SmartDataCenter product. In 2019, they joined Oxide Computer Company as their Chief Technology Officer.

Bryan Cantrill attended and graduated from George Washington High School from 1988 to 1992, receiving their IB Diploma. Bryan then enrolled at Brown University from 1992 to 1996 to study Computer Science, where they earned their ScB degree. No additional certifications are reported.
