Angus Spiers is currently the Head of Global Development and New Market Access at Oxitec, specializing in public health. They have a rich background in malaria management, having served in various capacities, including as a Senior Malaria Advisor at USAID Angola and as the Regional Malaria Advisor for UNICEF. Angus holds a PhD from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, where they focused on the seasonality of malaria vectors in Malawi, and also earned an MSc in Tropical Parasitology and Medical Entomology. Prior to their current role, they directed Innovation to Impact (i2i) and were the Deputy Director for Malaria & Child Survival at Population Services International.
