Benjamin Light

Benjamin Light is an experienced professional currently serving as Workshop Manager at OXMAN since November 2022. With a longstanding role as Product Design Engineer at B.Light Design since July 2007, Benjamin specializes in the design and manufacturing of functional prototypes. Prior experience includes a Research Fellow and Adjunct Professor position at New York University, where original research focused on custom CNC machines, tangible interfaces, and mechanism design. Benjamin also created ITP's online fabrication program. As a Senior UI/UX Designer at SelectMinds, leadership was provided to a web development team throughout various product cycles. Earlier roles include Hardware Engineer at Lucent Technologies, leading the design team for VoIP products, and a Design Intern at K'NEX L.P.G. Educational credentials include an MPS from New York University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.
