Seán Kearney

Seán Kearney has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Seán began their career in 2000 as a Product Specialist at GlaxoSmithKline. In 2001, they moved to Sanofi as an Executive Product Specialist, where they were responsible for promoting therapies in the Cardiovascular, Urology, Neurology and Pain Management portfolio across primary and secondary care. In 2007, Kearney joined Merz Pharma as a Healthcare Development Manager. Following this, they worked at Novartis as a Key Account Manager from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, they moved to Allergan as a Product Specialist - Retina, where they were responsible for market preparation for launch in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. In 2014, Kearney joined Alcon as an Equipment Manager, responsible for optimising the sales of Alcons’ ophthalmic surgical refractive suites in both private and public sectors across Scotland. In 2017, they returned to Allergan as a Surgical Specialist, where they were a Glaucoma Surgical Trainer. Finally, in 2018, Kearney joined Santen as a Surgical Partner, responsible for cross-functional collaboration towards successful implementation and roll out of a phased, commercial launch strategy. Currently, they are Director, Device Training at Oxular.

Seán Kearney received their BSc (Pg Dip) in Applied Biochemical Sciences from Ulster University between 1993 and 1997. In 1998, they began their MSc in Forensic Science at the University of Strathclyde, which they completed in 1999. Seán also holds an MSc. certification.
