Robert Easton is a Senior Adviser to Oxx, and a committed investor to the fund and its predecessor growth funds, which were also managed by Richard Anton and Mikael Johnsson. Robert is a Partner and Senior Advisor at The Carlyle Group, the global alternative asset management company. He is a veteran of the firm and has performed multiple roles as an investment professional, including running the buyout team in the UK, serving as co-head of Carlyle Europe Technology Partners, a family of funds focused on growth capital investments across the European technology sector, and leading Carlyle’s Ireland focused fund. Across his 16 years at the firm, he has served on multiple portfolio company boards in many different sectors.
Robert is the Pro-Vice-Chanceller (Development and External Affairs) at Oxford University. He is also a past Chairman of the British Venture Capital Association, a founding Director of the Walker Guidelines Monitoring Group for private equity disclosure, and current member of the Advisory Boards of the Business School at Imperial College London and of the new Imperial West campus development. He has multiple philanthropic interests, including being a Trustee of the British Heart Foundation, and is a serial investor in technology driven, small and start-up businesses. Robert has a Doctorate in organic synthesis from Oxford University and a BSc in Chemistry from Imperial College London.
