Oxygen Valley’s purpose is to support the restoration of life in Mariager Fjord by bringing together science, practice, business, public authorities, and local communities. As a non profit, neutral knowledge broker anchored at CEMTEC Fonden, Oxygen Valley ensures that relevant scientific and experience based knowledge is generated, translated, and applied in decisions related to biodiversity, water quality, and sustainable management in Mariager Fjord and other Danish fjords and lakes.

Through research and innovation collaborations, Oxygen Valley connects local restoration efforts with national and European initiatives and supports partnerships that turn knowledge into concrete remediation and restoration actions, so that learning from Mariager Fjord contributes to healthier fjords and lakes more broadly.
