Jesse Vernon has worked in the software engineering field for over 13 years. In 2007, they began their career at Microsoft as a Software Engineer, where they worked in Live Labs building experimental tile-based rendering servers and on the Bing Book Search team. In 2009, they moved to Panopto and worked as a Principal Software Engineer. During their time there, they founded the Architect Group to facilitate cross-team discussions and drive solutions for challenging cross-team problems such as microservice design and IoC and DI frameworks. Jesse also designed and built a real-time, graph-based access control system that contains over 100M policies and serves tens of thousands requests per second, as well as a solution for developers to use devboxes in AWS to eliminate onboarding time and increase productivity by allowing work on multiple projects simultaneously. In 2022, they moved to Ozette Technologies, where they currently work as a Principal Software Engineer.

Jesse Vernon attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Discrete Mathematics and Logic and Computer Science.
