James Paley is an accomplished software engineer and physicist with extensive experience in various sectors. As the Founder and Head of Software at Oakdoor since January 2016, James is leading developments in cross-domain solutions and data diodes. Concurrently, as a Managing Consultant at PA Consulting since December 2010, James has worked on diverse bespoke applications, including medical devices and industrial systems. James's prior role as a Plasma Control Physicist at EPFL involved creating real-time control systems for plasma heating on the TCV tokamak. Earlier experience includes software development for Linenstore-UK and scientific software development for UKAEA. James holds a PhD in Plasma Physics from Imperial College London and an MPhys in Physics from the University of Oxford.
