The mission of Pace is to provide educational and therapeutic services that enable any child to thrive.  As a private, non-profit day school, we transform the lives of the regions most challenged and challenging students and their families. Our goals are to teach children with severe emotional disorders and/or Autism to breakthrough social and behavioral barriers to school success and to help their families enjoy more normal lives. For more than four decades, Pace has served as a placement option for school districts in Allegheny and surrounding counties seeking our expertise in providing a blended educational and therapeutic environment.

Behavior Management

The Behavioral and Mental Health Support team at Pace School provides comprehensive services to address the emotional and behavioral needs of students with severe emotional disorders and Autism. Their work includes crisis intervention, creating behavior management plans, offering therapeutic support, and collaborating with families to reinforce positive outcomes both at school and home. The team’s goal is to break down barriers to education and improve the overall quality of life for students and their families.

The Education and Classroom Support team at Pace School works collaboratively to create a nurturing and structured environment tailored for students with severe emotional disorders and Autism. Through a blend of educational instruction and therapeutic interventions, the team strives to break down social and behavioral barriers, ensuring each student can achieve their fullest potential. Members, including Classroom Assistants and Special Education Teachers, provide personalized support and engage with students’ families to promote stability and success both in and out of the classroom.
