Matt Tomlins

Matt Tomlins has extensive work experience in the field of geomatics and GIS. Matt is currently serving as the President of Pacific Geomatics Limited, a position they have held since December 2021. Before that, they worked as the General Manager of the same company from April 2012 to December 2021. Prior to their role as General Manager, they were a Project Manager from May 2011 to April 2012 and a Geomatics Specialist from July 2004 to May 2011 at Pacific Geomatics Limited.

In addition to their work at Pacific Geomatics Limited, Matt Tomlins has held various positions at different organizations. Matt worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Victoria from September 2009 to April 2011. Matt was also a GIS Technician at Lakehead Geological Services from May 2007 to October 2009. Furthermore, they worked as a Researcher and GIS Specialist at CAREX Canada from May 2008 to May 2009. In addition, they served as a Research Assistant at the Spatial Pattern Analysis and Research Lab from January 2009 to April 2009. Matt Tomlins also worked briefly as a Cartographer at the University of Victoria's Department of Geography in April 2007. Lastly, they gained experience as a Remote Sensing and GIS Technician at ILMB, Ministry of Agriculture and Lands from May 2006 to January 2007.

Matt Tomlins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Victoria from 2004 to 2009. Matt then went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Geography from the same university, completing their studies from 2009 to 2011.
