Greg FitzGerald

Greg FitzGerald has extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Greg is currently serving as the Head of Capital Markets at Pachama, where they are responsible for driving investment in forest carbon projects and implementing capital markets strategies. Prior to this, they worked at Silicon Valley Bank, where they held multiple positions including Director of Technology Credit Solutions, Chief of Staff in Canada, and worked on Credit & Product Innovation. Greg also worked as an Adjunct Professor at The University of British Columbia, teaching courses on entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability. Greg also founded and acted as the Principal of Venture Stem, a consultancy that developed creative funding structures for conservation projects and environmental technology companies. At Future of Fish, Greg served as the Global Innovations Director & Blended Finance Lead, developing blended finance models, collaborating with fishing communities, and facilitating co-design workshops. Greg co-founded Carbon Analytics, where they served as the COO and Head of Product, leading the development of their carbon footprint engine and web platform. Earlier in their career, Greg held positions at Deloitte, Sandvine, and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, where they gained experience in senior consulting, hardware engineering, and software engineering, respectively.

Greg FitzGerald completed their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo from 2003 to 2008. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the University of Oxford, which they completed from 2012 to 2013.
